TED2022 A NEW ERA
A lot has changed since TED last gathered in Vancouver three years ago. We return not for more of the same, wonderful though that was, but to celebrate a new era. Despite the awfulness we’ve lived through, the future beckons with extraordinary possibilities we couldn’t have dreamt of. In medicine, in AI, in clean energy, in the ways we work, the ways we learn, and in the fundamental economic and social systems that underpin everything else.
FIVE YEARS OF IMPACT
Amplifying Ideas
Since inception, our goal has been to showcase ideas and amplify innovation from Lincolnshire on a global stage.

We've created an active community platform and grown our social and economic impact with each event. Our continued success is only possible thanks to our dedicated community of volunteers, speakers, partners, and participants, who share our ambition to create a more innovative and progressive Lincolnshire.

Since launching in 2017 we've explored ideas from equal rights, mental health, climate crisis, robotics, sleep and much more. We've brought together diverse groups of people to mobilise social change and we've created a clear financial impact within our city.

Much of our work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals for quality education, decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities and climate change.
2023 Series Impact
2023 saw our most ambitious programme to date. Our summer TEDxSalon series brought together over a hundred people in discussions about future fit cities. The results have informed a strategic policy document that will be shared with our city and county legislators in 2024.
Having achieved Summit licence accreditation from TED, our flagship event created a whole weekend of ideas worth spreading with 20 live speakers and performers sharing their ideas from the stage interwoven with incredible opportunities to turn those ideas into actions.

SROI: A Definition.
Social return on investment (SROI) is a method for measuring values that are not traditionally reflected in financial statements, including social, economic, and environmental factors. They can identify how effectively a company uses its capital and other resources to create value for the community. While a traditional cost-benefit analysis is used to compare different investments or projects, SROI is used more to evaluate the general progress of certain developments, showing both the financial and social impact the organisation can have.

2017-2023 Summary
In 2018 we became the fastest-growing TEDx series in the UK and we've used that momentum to drive progress within our city and shine a global spotlight on the place we call home. We're proud to be one of the leading TEDx series in the East Midlands helping support others to create a regional legacy of ideas worth spreading.
