TED2022 A NEW ERA
A lot has changed since TED last gathered in Vancouver three years ago. We return not for more of the same, wonderful though that was, but to celebrate a new era. Despite the awfulness we’ve lived through, the future beckons with extraordinary possibilities we couldn’t have dreamt of. In medicine, in AI, in clean energy, in the ways we work, the ways we learn, and in the fundamental economic and social systems that underpin everything else.

Its approach emphasises listening, collaboration, and funding to create meaningful local impact.

Following on from Mel Standbrook’s Saturday talk, The Happening is an immersive visionary education experience to prevent and divert young people from carrying a knife and being involved in Serious Violence. It’s another way of thinking when looking at the normal reactive approach to dealing with
young people. We will look at a pocket-sized version of the experience within the workshop.
